Baseball Recap: Dawson School Wins Going Away Against Bishop Machebeuf

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rocky Mountain Lutheran, Dawson School was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Bishop Machebeuf Buffaloes as they made off with a 15-4 victory. With that win, the Mustangs brought their scoring average up to 6.9 runs per game.

Darren Sebek made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Dawson School is 3-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 1-5 otherwise. Sebek was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Milo Richtel was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last four times he's played. Dawson Kusel was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Dawson School's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Bishop Machebeuf, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-5.

Coming up, Dawson School will face off against SkyView Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bishop Machebeuf, they will take on Flatirons Academy at 4:30 p.m. on the 24th.
