Football Game Preview: Decatur Community vs. Wallace County

Wallace County will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Decatur Community at 7:00 PM. Both teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.

Wallace County took a serious blow against Wichita County last week, falling 6-54. Wallace County got a solid performance out of senior Luke Johnson, who rushed for 79 yards and 1 touchdown; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the victory.

Meanwhile, if Decatur Community were riding high off their 46-0 takedown of Quinter two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Decatur Community were completely outmatched, falling 0-46 to Dighton. Decatur Community were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-40.

With the two teams each stumbling in off of a loss, both will be hungry for the win. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous game, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
