Basketball Recap: Traverse City West Takes a Loss

Traverse City West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the Midland Chemics, falling 62-22. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 320th, while the Chemics are ranked 34th).

Traverse City West's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Midland, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.

Traverse City West has already played their next matchup (against Petoskey), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Midland will challenge Dow at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Midland's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.
