Recap: Salem Christian Eagles vs. Conestoga Christian Cougars
The Salem Christian Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by Conestoga Christian 61-20. Salem Christian has not had much luck with Conestoga Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Conestoga Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Paul Hurst, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Josh Boutaugh, who scored eight points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
Salem Christian bumped their record down to 0-1 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Conestoga Christian, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Salem Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Lititz Christian at 11:30 a.m. on December 9th.
