Butternut not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 10, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on the Lac Courte Oreilles Eagles with a sharp 3-0 win. The Midgets haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Butternut was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-19, 25-16.

Their offense was headlined by Gianna Nahring and Alli Lueloff, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Lizzie Pritzl and her 13 assists.

The win got Butternut back to even at 8-8. As for Lac Courte Oreilles, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Butternut will venture away from home to square off against Mellen at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lac Courte Oreilles, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Birchwood at 7:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
