Baseball Recap: St. Frances Academy Starts Season with Win Against Perry Hall Christian

St. Frances Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on Perry Hall Christian with a sharp 11-5 win on Friday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak dating back to last season.

St. Frances Academy let Dorian Goldston and Mason Hodges run wild. Goldston went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Hodges went 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Goldston has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Yates, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Perry Hall Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, St. Frances Academy will head out to square off against Western Tech & Environmental Science at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Perry Hall Christian, they will host Jemicy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
