Basketball Game Preview: Austin College and Career Academy Tigers vs. Wells Raiders

The Austin College and Career Academy Tigers will take on the Wells Raiders in a holiday battle at at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Austin College and Career Academy will come in still looking for their first win of the season.

On Tuesday, Austin College and Career Academy came up short against Raby and fell 65-56. Even if the Tigers couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

Wells got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They enjoyed a cozy 51-35 victory over Ogden International on Tuesday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Raiders' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 397th, while Ogden International are ranked 98th).

Wells now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Austin College and Career Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Austin College and Career Academy was dealt a bruising 76-36 loss at the hands of Wells in their previous matchup back in December of 2023.
