Basketball Recap: Curlew Skates Past Entiat with Ease

A well-balanced attack led Curlew over Entiat in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Curlew Cougars blew the Entiat Tigers out of the water with a 59-17 final score. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 26 points or more this season.

Leading Curlew to victory were Theia Grady and Annika Baker. Grady went 13 of 18 en route to 26 points, while Baker went 9 of 14 on her way to 19 points and five rebounds. With that strong performance, Grady is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game.

Curlew pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26.2 points. As for Entiat, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Curlew wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 42-30 victory against Selkirk on the 21st. As for Entiat, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bridgeport at 4:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
