It was a proper cat-fight when San Lorenzo Valley took on Santa Cruz on Thursday. The Cougars blew past the Cardinals 17-5. Considering the Cougars have won five matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The win made it two in a row for San Lorenzo Valley and bumps their season record up to 8-6-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for Santa Cruz, they dropped their record down to 6-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. San Lorenzo Valley will host Scotts Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
