Baseball Recap: Marshall County Tigers vs. Giles County Bobcats
Marshall County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Giles County Bobcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-3 on Monday.
Austin Blackwell made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double. He also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season. Tot Gardner was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.
Marshall County's loss dropped their record down to 2-10-1. As for Giles County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-11.
