Basketball Recap: Fair Play Hornets vs. Bronaugh Wildcats
Fair Play was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 46-43 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bronaugh Wildcats.
Bronaugh got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Colter Banes out in front who went 8 of 14 on his way to 17 points and seven rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Banes has scored at least a third of Bronaugh's points. Strauss Banes was another key player, putting up ten points in addition to six boards and six steals.
Fair Play's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Bronaugh, their win bumped their record up to 9-11.
Fair Play has already played their next contest (against Humansville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Bronaugh will face off against Montrose at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Montrose has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
