Soccer Game Preview: Kemp vs. Village Tech

The Kemp Yellowjackets will take on the Village Tech Viper Squid in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Kemp took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They never let Westwood onto the board and left with a 1-0 victory. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Yellowjackets were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Village Tech didn't get the result they wanted in their first contest with Newman International Academy on Friday. They lost 9-1 to the Warriors. The defeat continues a trend for the Viper Squid in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now lost three in a row.

Kemp now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Village Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
