Volleyball Recap: Pinellas Park Takes a Loss

Pinellas Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hollins Royals. The Patriots were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Royals earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Pinellas Park took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 19-25, 26-28, 25-21, 15-10.

Pinellas Park's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Hollins, their record now sits at 6-7.

Pinellas Park didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Countryside on the 3rd. As for Hollins, they will challenge St. Petersburg at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
