Basketball Recap: Lake Brantley Comes Up Short

Lake Brantley was the 46-40 winner over Evans when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Lake Brantley Patriots lost 43-20 to the Evans Trojans on Monday. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Lake Brantley saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Olivia White posted 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilly Shanks, who had five points.

Lake Brantley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Evans, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-6.

Lake Brantley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-30 loss against University on the 10th. As for Evans, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 48-45 victory against Olympia on the 10th.
