Volleyball Recap: Manteno's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Manteno had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came out on top against the Peotone Blue Devils by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 back in September.

The victory didn't come easy: Peotone scored at least 21 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-21.

Manteno can attribute much of their success to Leah Donnelly, who had three digs and three aces. That's the most aces Donnelly has posted since back in September.

Manteno's win bumped their record up to 23-4. As for Peotone, they moved to 18-10 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

Manteno will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Blue Devils: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
