Football Recap: Bishop Kenny Skates Past Providence School with Ease

Bishop Kenny waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They claimed a resounding 42-10 win over the Providence School Stallions. Given the Crusaders' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while the Stallions are ranked 307th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Gavin Hawkins was the offensive standout of the game as he threw for 196 yards and three TDs on only 11 passes. 86 of Hawkins' passing yards were hauled in by Michael Harms, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Bishop Kenny's run defense was locked in: Providence School could only muster 1.6 yards per carry. The team can thank Gunnar Rogers for the heroic effort on defense: he. Bishop Kenny's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 5.2.

Bishop Kenny's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Providence School, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.
