Recap: New Richmond Lions vs. Western Brown Broncos
The New Richmond Lions lost against the Western Brown Broncos back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. New Richmond was dealt a 74-28 loss at the hands of Western Brown. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for New Richmond in their matchups with Western Brown: they've now lost nine in a row.
Despite the loss, New Richmond still got an impressive performance from Sydney Miller, who scored seven points along with 12 rebounds. Those 12 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her.
New Richmond has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Western Brown, their win bumped their record up to 10-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Richmond will take on Bethel-Tate at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (Bethel-Tate is ranked 608th, while New Richmond is ranked 628th). As for Western Brown, they will be playing at home against Lynchburg-Clay at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lynchburg-Clay is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
