Basketball Recap: Z John Williams Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Victory

Z John Williams put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 63-36 victory over the Akiuk Memorial Grizzlies. The score was close at the half, but the Hawks pulled away in the second half with 44 points.

Z John Williams found their leader in freshman Adalyn Samuelson, who posted 23 points. Hilary Larson was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Z John Williams pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.6 points per game. As for Akiuk Memorial, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-2.

Z John Williams didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 74-13 victory against Anna Tobeluk on the 31st. Akiuk Memorial does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
