Baseball Game Preview: Plainfield Panthers vs. Lyman Memorial Bulldogs

The Plainfield Panthers will take on the Lyman Memorial Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Plainfield came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Killingly, falling 10-1. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Panthers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Plainfield saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tony Navan, who went 1-for-4 with one double.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lyman Memorial). They came out on top against Bolton by a score of 6-1 on Thursday.

Plainfield has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. Lyman Memorial's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4.
