Softball Recap: Hayden Beats Hatton for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Hayden lost to Hatton back in April of 2021, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Hayden Wildcats won by a run and slipped past the Hatton Hornets 5-4. The victory was nothing new for the Wildcats as they're now sitting on four straight.

Abbie Whitehead looked comfortable as she tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Furthermore, she didn't allow a single walk, the first time she has blanked an opponent over her last ten games.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Payton Hill, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last 12 contests.

Hayden's win bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Hatton, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9-1.

Hayden wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 7-1 loss against Spain Park on the 8th. As for Hatton, they have also already played their next game, a 6-1 defeat against Brooks on the 10th.
