Football Game Preview: Trenton Tigers vs. Alvord Bulldogs

Trenton hasn't had much luck against Alvord recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Trenton has given up an average of 31.6 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Trenton's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Tioga on Friday. They were outmatched by the Bulldogs and fell 72-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Tigers were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Alvord, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Nocona 62-6. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won three matchups by 55 points or more so far this season.

Trenton better keep an eye on Brayden Snider. He was instrumental in Alvord's win, rushing for 49 yards and three TDs, while also catching one touchdown. Dalton George was another key player, throwing for 90 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.

Alvord was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 227 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 227 rushing yards in three consecutive contests.

Trenton was taken down by Alvord 34-0 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of George, who threw for 197 yards and three TDs while completing 75% of his passes, and also punched in one score on the ground.
