Basketball Recap: Tri-Cities Drops Season-High Score on Morrow

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Tri-Cities had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 103-89 victory over the Morrow Mustangs. The Bulldogs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tri-Cities to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jalan Wingfield, who dropped a double-double with 29 points and 15 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Wingfield a new career-high in blocks (six). Another player making a difference was Tre Keith, who dropped a double-double with 26 points and ten assists.

Tri-Cities was working as a unit and finished the game with 30 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Tri-Cities is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 18 games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.4 points over those games. As for Morrow, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-19 record this season.

Coming up, Tri-Cities will square off against Sprayberry at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Tri-Cities knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 18 contests -- so hopefully Sprayberry likes a good challenge. Morrow does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
