Football Recap: Killeen Comes Up Short on the Road Against Vista Ridge

Killeen kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 30-14 bruising from the Vista Ridge Rangers. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 11 in a row.

Quinn Szczytowski had a dynamite game For Vista Ridge., rushing for 75 yards and a pair of TDs. Those 75 rushing yards gave SzczytowSki a new career-high. Kaden Arnot was another key player, throwing for 200 yards and one touchdown.

Coming up, Killeen will be playing in front of their home fans against Ellison at 7:00 p.m. on the 5th. As for Vista Ridge, they will venture away from home to face off against Bowie at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
