Basketball Recap: Laporte Comes Up Short

Laporte was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were beaten by the Bertha-Hewitt Bears 76-29. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 76-44 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Laporte's loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Bertha-Hewitt, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-12 record this season.

Laporte wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 94-18 defeat against Nevis on the 7th. As for Bertha-Hewitt, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-42 loss against Wadena-Deer Creek on the 7th.
