Volleyball Recap: Hamilton Takes Down Ranked Basha

Hamilton faced Basha in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Huskies put the hurt on the Bears with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Huskies, who have now won three matches in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-7, 25-13.

Hamilton was led to victory by Whitney Pierzga and Nia Curry. Pierzga had four digs and four aces, while Curry hit 64% for 17 kills and six digs and four aces. That's the most aces Pierzga has posted since back in August.

They weren't the only good servers: Hamilton was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Basha didn't served any.

Hamilton's record is now 23-9. As for Basha, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-12 record this season.

Hamilton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Perry on the 23rd. As for Basha, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Chandler on the 23rd.
