Basketball Recap: Attica Comes Up Short

Attica and Riverton Parke squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Attica had to settle for second. They took a 39-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Riverton Parke Panthers. The Red Ramblers' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Riverton Parke's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Corinne Loomis, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 boards. The dominant performance gave Loomis a new career-high in rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Haylee Mathas, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards.

Attica's loss dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Riverton Parke, their record is now 12-10.

Attica does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Riverton Parke, they will take on Lafayette Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lafayette Central Catholic will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Riverton Parke surely won't give up without a fight.
