Basketball Recap: Elysian Fields Comes Up Short

Elysian Fields made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Joaquin, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Yellowjackets fell just short of the Rams by a score of 41-38 on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their meetings with the Rams: they've now lost five in a row.

The defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 6-4. As for Joaquin, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Elysian Fields is set to face off against their familiar foe Waskom at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Joaquin will square off against rival Tenaha at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
