Volleyball Recap: Edison Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Edison lost to Toronto back in September of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Red Knights by a score of 2-0. The victory was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

While Edison won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-23.

Aliya Glover paced Edison's offense, picking up six kills. Glover got some help from Sophia Henderson and her 12 assists. Bella Cronin and Alivia Hanlin kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Edison's win bumped their record up to 3-13. As for Toronto, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-9.

Edison didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Indian Creek on the 23rd. As for Toronto, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Steubenville on the 23rd.
