Basketball Recap: Katie Riojas' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Rocksprings over D'hanis

Rocksprings was the 62-35 winner over D'Hanis when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Rocksprings Angoras fell 39-26 to the D'Hanis Cowboys on Friday. The Angoras have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Rocksprings' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Katie Riojas, who posted seven points.

Rocksprings' defeat dropped their record down to 7-16-1. As for D'Hanis, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-7.

Rocksprings will be playing at home against Utopia at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rocksprings is facing Utopia at the right time seeing as Utopia is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for D'Hanis, they will head out on the road to square off against Leakey at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. D'Hanis' defense has only allowed 27.6 points per game this season, so Leakey's offense will have their work cut out for them.
