Basketball Recap: East Comes Up Short

East lost against Downingtown West on January 7th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The East Vikings lost 65-41 to the Downingtown West Whippets. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 614th, while the Whippets are ranked 139th).

East has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season. As for Downingtown West, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-8 record this season.

East has already played their next contest (against Octorara Area), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Downingtown West has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Avon Grove.
