Baseball Recap: Stroudsburg Takes a Loss

Stroudsburg and Nazareth Area squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Stroudsburg had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Blue Eagles by a score of 6-5. The Mountaineers have struggled against the Blue Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Alex Pacitti was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two RBI. Another player making a difference was Luke Powanda, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Stroudsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Nazareth Area, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Stroudsburg nor Nazareth Area have any future games scheduled.
