Baseball Recap: Ridley's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Ridley and Lower Merion meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. Ridley fell just short of Lower Merion by a score of 5-4. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Aces apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Ridley saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shane Rentz, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Having lost for the first time this season, Ridley fell to 2-1. As for Lower Merion, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

The future could be bright for both Ridley and Lower Merion: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Ridley will look to extend Conestoga's four-game losing streak when they meet at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Lower Merion will try to hand Upper Darby their fourth-straight defeat when the two meet at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
