Soccer Recap: Reed-Custer Comes Up Short

Reed-Custer came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Crete-Monee Warriors, falling 4-1. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, Reed-Custer couldn't push the score so high this time.

Their goal came courtesy of Matthew Kuban, who's now up to 16 this season.

Reed-Custer has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10-1 record this season. As for Crete-Monee, with the victory, they broke their four-match losing streak and moved their record to 5-7-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Reed-Custer will welcome Rich Township at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Crete-Monee, they will square off against Bloom at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
