Baseball Recap: Ragsdale Beats Southern Lee for Their Fourth Straight Win

Ragsdale waltzed into their game on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the Southern Lee Cavaliers with a sharp 16-8 win. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won six matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Thristan Figueroa was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Braylon Louis was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Ragsdale always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Southern Lee only posted an OBP of .429.

Ragsdale's victory bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Southern Lee, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 12-6.

Looking ahead, Ragsdale will be taking part in a tournament against Southern Alamance at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Tigers 3.5, the Patriots 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Southern Lee, they are taking a road trip to take on Wheatmore at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cavaliers are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
