Basketball Recap: Ridgecroft Extends Road Winning Streak to 14

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Albemarle School, Ridgecroft was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They breezed by the Southampton Indians to the tune of 56-16. The team ran away with 44 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the win.

Ridgecroft's victory was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.2 points per game. As for Southampton, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridgecroft will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Pungo Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Southampton, they and Franklin will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played.
