Basketball Game Preview: Longwood Prep Academy Legends vs. Taft Golden Eagles

The Longwood Prep Academy Legends will challenge the Taft Golden Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Longwood Prep Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Taft likes a good challenge.

Last Wednesday, Longwood Prep Academy earned a 58-48 victory over KIPP NYC College Prep.

Meanwhile, Taft was able to grind out a solid win over Walton on Saturday, taking the game 47-39. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Golden Eagles.

Longwood Prep Academy's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.3 points per game. As for Taft, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Everything came up roses for Longwood Prep Academy against Taft in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 66-29 victory. Will Longwood Prep Academy repeat their success, or does Taft have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
