Basketball Recap: Hale Center Comes Up Short

Hale Center and Abernathy squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Hale Center had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Abernathy Antelopes by a score of 51-49. The Owls have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Hale Center's defeat dropped their record down to 20-11. As for Abernathy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 20 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season.

Hale Center does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Abernathy, they will welcome Spearman at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
