Softball Recap: West Ranch Wildcats vs. Birmingham Patriots
West Ranch proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by nine) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Birmingham Patriots 8-7. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-5 back in March.

JULIETTE MERRILEES made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits.
