Volleyball Recap: Fort Wayne Canterbury Takes a Loss

Fort Wayne Canterbury lost against Lakewood Park Christian last Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cavaliers fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 3-2. The Cavaliers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Fort Wayne Canterbury took Lakewood Park Christian into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-19, 25-15, 27-29, 15-12.

Victoria Kim paced Fort Wayne Canterbury's offense, picking up 21 kills. Kim got some help from Sophia Miller and her 41 assists. Kim was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Fort Wayne Canterbury's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Lakewood Park Christian, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fort Wayne Canterbury will face off against Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lakewood Park Christian, they will square off against Hamilton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
