Preview: Nelsonville-York Buckeyes vs. Wellston Golden Rockets
The Nelsonville-York Buckeyes will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wellston Golden Rockets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Nelsonville-York has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 213 points over their last three contests.
Nelsonville-York put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 74-43 win over Alexander at home.
Keagan Swope was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last eight games he's played. Landen Inman was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five assists.
Meanwhile, Wellston took a serious blow against Waterford on Tuesday, falling 63-24. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Wellston has scored all season.
Nelsonville-York's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Wellston, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.
