Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Laurel). They took their matchup on Saturday with ease, bagging an 85-10 win over the Taylorsville Tartars. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 43-5.

Laurel pushed their record up to 8-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.7 points per game. As for Taylorsville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Laurel will finish 2024 at home by hosting Raymond at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Taylorsville, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off.
