Softball Recap: South Plantation Snags Tenth Win in Last 11 Games

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only South Plantation walked away with it. They blew past the Cooper City Cowboys 16-6 on Thursday. The Paladins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by seven runs or more this season.

Grace Boehly and Samantha O'Steen did most of the damage at the plate: Boehly fired off two home runs, four runs, and five RBI while going 4-for-5, while O'Steen fired off two home runs and seven RBI while going 3-for-5. That's the most runs Boehly has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Amelia Rodriguez, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: South Plantation lost a few balls and finished the game with five home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

South Plantation has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-11 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Cooper City, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-19 record this season.

South Plantation will welcome West Boca Raton at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Cooper City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
