Basketball Recap: West Chicago Wildcats vs. Marian Catholic Spartans
West Chicago lost to Marian Catholic back in November of 2017 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wildcats lost to the Spartans at home by a 49-34 margin.
Marian Catholic's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ty Jackson led the charge by putting up seven points along with five rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of RaKayla Spruill, who posted 16 points.
West Chicago's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Marian Catholic, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-13.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. West Chicago will square off against Glenbard South at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Marian Catholic, they will face off against Saint Viator at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
