Basketball Recap: Grasso Tech's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

Grasso Tech entered their game against Killingly on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Grasso Tech Eagles fell to the Killingly Redmen 69-63. The matchup marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Grasso Tech's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joseph Moore, who posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Julius Washington, who put up 18 points.

Grasso Tech's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-1. As for Killingly, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grasso Tech will challenge Windham RVT at 6:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. One thing working in Grasso Tech's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Killingly, they will square off against Woodstock Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Killingly is facing Woodstock Academy at the right time seeing as Woodstock Academy is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
