Placer came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to Nevada Union. The loss was the Hillmen's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Twelve Bridges came up short against Nevada Union on Thursday, falling 3-0.

While Twelve Bridges was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-22, 25-17.

Twelve Bridges' loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Placer, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
