Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only New Covenant Academy walked away with it. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Cabool Bulldogs on Thursday. The win was nothing new for the Warriors as they're now sitting on eight straight.

New Covenant Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-19, 25-13, 25-16.

Among those leading the charge was Jenna Jackson, who had 13 digs and one assist. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

New Covenant Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in eight consecutive contests.

New Covenant Academy's victory bumped their record up to 26-4-3. As for Cabool, their loss ended a 17-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 26-8-3.

New Covenant Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Miller on the 1st. Cabool does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
