Volleyball Recap: Scott Takes a Loss

Scott was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sherman Tide. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Tide this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss on October 6th.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-15.

Sherman's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emma Russell led the charge by getting 27 assists and five digs. Russell has been hot for a while, having posted 16 or more assists the last ten times she's played. Audrina Smith was another key player, getting 12 digs.

Scott's defeat dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Sherman, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Scott nor Sherman have any future games scheduled.
