Softball Recap: Rockport Vikings vs. Ipswich Tigers
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Salem, Rockport was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by an 18-4 margin over the Ipswich Tigers. For Rockport, this counts as revenge for the 7-5 loss Ipswich walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2023.
For Ipswich's part, Liv Driscoll made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
Rockport now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Ipswich, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rockport will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Triton Regional at 3:45 p.m. on April 22nd. As for Ipswich, they will head out on the road to challenge Marblehead at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
