After low-scoring totals in their previous three game, Cypress Lakes brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. Everything went their way against the Cypress Springs Panthers on Thursday as they made off with a 13-3 victory. The win continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won nine in a row.

Brianna Davila and Natalie Russo made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Davila struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Russo pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March. At bat, Davila went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI, while Russo went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Darnae Green, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Forward, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.

Cypress Lakes always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. They are 7-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Cypress Lakes' victory bumped their record up to 9-17. As for Cypress Springs, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-14-1.

As of now, neither Cypress Lakes nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
