If La Veta was riding high fresh off their 22-0 takedown of Centennial on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Redhawks fell 12-7 to the Peyton Panthers on Wednesday. The Redhawks' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Logan Cortez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Lukas Ozzello, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

La Veta's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Peyton, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-1.
